As with many Herman Miller pieces the style is fabulous. And while I knew the the Ash was a laminate I thought perhaps the core would be of higher quality than a pressed wood and/or similar. That said the laminate is of decent depth and the balance of the construction is rock-solid, it is not flimsy by any means. It's a sleek little table; I got a Tiffany's crystal platter as an accent for it and it looks awesome.

This coffee table was just the right size when I lived in my loft, and now that I've moved into a house, I'm amazed at its versatility - it fits in both a loft aesthetic (modern, spare) and a more traditional one. I appreciate the table's stability - I've got a rowdy dog that has not yet managed to knock over anything placed on it!
