I love this bed

By LAH

Style Eclectic

Pros

  • Great design
  • Quality construction

Cons

  • Difficult to make bed

Best Uses

  • Guest Bed

Customer comments about Fort Bunk Bed:

I put this bed along with a twin in a small guest room in our weekend home. It was perfect. The room still looks spacious and I doubled my sleeping capability. The bed is rock solid...so no jiggling when someone is in the top bunk. The kids love this bed and I love the way the room looks. This is a very versatile bed. I weekend place is more like a cabin...and this fit perfectly with the "cabin" style...just put some Pendleton Blankets on the beds and we were good to go.

For those of you who find this bed difficult to make here's a hint. We put some sliders from Home Depot on under each foot..and now we can easily slide the bed away from the wall when we make it and then easily slide it back when we are finished. This little trick really did the trick when it came to making the bed.

Customer comments about Fort Bunk Bed:

My boys just love this bunkbed! They could have their own bedroom each, but because of this bed they stay in the same room. The bed is masculine and well built. This bed grows with the child, appropriate for elementary age all the way on up to high school. Many of the bunkbeds from other stores seemed to sway and creak. Not this one! If there's ever an earthquake, I'm going under this bed.

We love this bunk bed! Our 4yr old gets to switch from bottom to top...and he thinks it's pretty cool. It's a little more expensive than some of the other bunks out there, but the quality and overall style is worth the price difference. Our son can easily have this bed until his teenage years!

      Nightmare to make the bed

      Best Uses

Customer comments about Fort Bunk Bed:

I love the bed and the look is perfect. However, the beds are extremely difficult to make. The top bunk should be made a bit wider so a comforter can be tucked in. As it is now, it is not meant for a comforter. On the website, you show it with a nice, thin wool blanket, but most people sleep with a comforter blanket. It is an exhausting, back breaking task to make this bed.

The clearance under the bed is 10 1/2"h so you should be able to use a trundle with the Fort Bunk. Our Riley and Moda Trundles will both work with the Fort.
