I like the leaning shelve for it's quality and simple design. It is great for showcasing your wallpaper or painted walls since the shelves uses minimal amount of construction materials and no backing. On the other hand, it should not cost $400 for a shelf that uses minimal material and simple construction and does not allow for adjustments unless you are satisfy with paying that price mostly for the design.

If your are placing the shelves in a medium to large room, you will likely need at least two sets, due to its narrow design, to proportion it appropriately to the room and to get adequate shelving space.

We purchased a set of four Gallery shelves to run along an exposed brick wall in the master bedroom, paired with a beautiful Copenhagen bed with a cherry slab headboard. The shelves have a "light" feel them, but are holding a library's worth of books and still letting the warm brick come through. I worried that they might "slide" or feel unstable because they are not bolted down or to the wall but trust me, those things aren't going ANYWHERE. The reclaimed cherry shelves are full of beautiful grain and character. I'm really, really happy with this purchase.

The quality of the materials is excellent. I've received many compliments on these shelves, and how often do shelves get compliments? They look great, take up very little room in a very small room, and the delivery service was fantastic. My only regret is not having bought a second set. Really lovely product. Thanks.

The shelf came installed with stainless steel screws in the bottom of each shelf, which was very obvious in contrast to the natural steel. I requested that the screws be switched out with black screws. Room & Board sent out a very helpful man that quickly switched the screws out and it looks better.

Overall, a very nice, space-saving shelf that looks great in combo with the natural steel, slim desk.

I have been searching for a bookcase for quite sometime. I ended up buying one from WorldMarket that was half the price of R&B's Gallery. I was dissatisfied with its quality. I ended up only keeping it 6 months before buying R&B's Gallery. I looked at several stores and for the quality and design, you can't beat R&B's prices on bookcases. I'm very happy with the Gallery. It's simple, and modern design combined with its quality is unsurpassed. I feel like I should be a spokesperson for R&B but just stating how I see it!

These shelves are very well constructed. We have the natural steel and reconditioned wood combination and the look is great. The shelves do not take up a lot of room and hold a ton of books and other items we might displays, such as photos.
