We live in a Northside Chicago neighborhood in a house built in 1913. It has some great tudor style touches that were added during a remodel sometime in the '40's. Our living room is quite large and we use it often as a family room. I wanted some chairs that we would feel comfortable lounging in, and these chairs are so comfortable. They are very tailored and modern looking, but the curved detail on the side takes a little of the edge off the square lines. It looks great with our very prissy dark brown leather RL sofa that we just purchased. We have an eclectic mix of furniture and the chairs look great. The fabric is great. One of our cats christened it with a " hb" and it came right up with a damp microfiber cloth. Great height great depth and comfy cushions....cannot say enough good things about it.

We got this chair because we thought we should get the matching piece to go with the couch. It has become my favorite piece of furniture, maybe ever. There is great support, room for me to sit cross-legged while drinking my morning coffee, and best of all, it is PERFECT for cuddling with my one-and-a-half year old little boy while he drinks his milk and listens to a story. Spilled milk and drool wipe up without a trace on the microfiber, there's a little room for him to squirm, and the arms are just far enough apart that he can sit on my lap OR next to me and still be comfortable. The only thing that would make it better is adding a recline feature. Overall, we love the Hawthorne chair!

comfy seating in living room same as sofa,still new, fabric is great to touch and colors look good. Unfortunately, stain on the legs of the chairs are not matching-noticably darker on one chair, but can live with it.

Service and delivery comments:

Weather did cause delays, to be expected. But when trying to deliver for 2nd time we were asked if we new if someone could help. That was a real shocker. No semi-truck either, a rental van. Never did get the story. I'd think twice about delivery.

Great fabric, rich color. The cushions are bit too down-y and non-bouncy for my preferences - I guess I like the springiness of foam, but many people have commented that it's quite comfortable. It's very deep, you can curl up in it.

Service and delivery comments:

Love the delivery process. Got calls (from the same guy each time) all along the way as the order was received, to arrange shipping, and calls as the delivery person neared.

This is a very nice chair. Perhaps does, as the two cushion does, push one "out" of the seat a bit rather than "envelope," but it's well-made and pleasing to the eye.

Along with the matching sofa, this chair makes a great seating arrangement. The best aspect of the chair is that the seat is both deep and wide, and the back and arms are very supportive, so you can sit with your feet up but not under you and be completely comfortable for reading or holding conversation.
