This chair is nice looking, low profile and the dark wood is pretty in my space, especially for the money. Also very easy to put together. I bought 4 and planned to use 3 with my dining set along with the bench I already have, and the other 1 as a desk chair. I spend about 3 hours at my desk a day, and this chair is not going to work there. I can't even see sitting in it for an entire dinner party. The back is not flexible and the top of it basically stabs your upper back. The bottom is flat wood, not molded to a human form at all. These might work as lightly used side chairs or kid's desk chairs or something, but that's about it.

Great affordable chair. I bought 6 in walnut finish for my dining room table. Have had multiple gatherings including Thanksgiving and the chairs were comfortable and look like they did when I pulled them out of the box.

Loved the look of the Jake chair and wanted it for the bedroom, next to new Black dresser. They each offset/enhance each other well. Read the many comments about faulty construction, but there were also many good reviews, so decided to take a chance. Chair arrived by UPS and was well packaged. It was easy to put together,just look for the arrow to show position of legs to attach. This will also be a spare dining chair, so haven't sat in it too long, but seems to fit the back okay. We chose the wood laminate because of so much "chipping" on the painted chairs, so hope it works well. It's not a chair that will get a lot of sitting use, so it should hold up. Room and Board is our new "dream" catalog/online source and will be getting a new bed after first of the year from them. Love that most of the items are made in USA, just wish they would find a supplier for these chairs in US.

I bought two exact same chairs less than 6 months ago, both chairs fell apart while someone was sitting in them!!! a few weeks a part.
I had them replaced and they look good but the quality is just not there....
