I have been looking for quality office furniture for some time. I chose Room and Board because I could get solid wood and delivery to northern New Mexico. I had never seen Room and Board furniture before so I was a little worried about ordering furniture sight unseen.
The service representatives I placed my order with were very helpful, making sure I understood what type of finish I was ordering. The delivery service - amazing (thanks Justin and I can't remember the other guy's name). You two braved a snow storm and below zero weather and a long drive from your previous stop to get here right on schedule. The furniture was in pristine shape when it got here.
But more about the piece: I had a custom cabinet made (83wx32hx20d) and I could not be happier with the results. Just a word of caution - this piece is HEAVY. If you think you need to move it, I recommend going with several smaller pieces instead of 1 big piece.
I chose the walnut finish. It is a light to medium stain that really shows the grain of the wood and that is exactly what I had hoped for. I paired it with a Parson's L shaped desk (glass top and black legs). Together these pieces line a wall and corner that has a large window view of the mesa.

This is a wonderful piece of furniture. Not only is it beautiful, but it is practical as well. The drawers work well and have ample storage. The only small drawback is the grip on the pull handles on the cabinet doors. I sometimes have to use two hands to grip them well enough to open. Otherwise, I am totally happy with this product.

I bought the 63" piece in cherry with natural steel base & pulls. It is beyond gorgeous - more like a work of art. The craftsmanship is incredible. I'm sure this piece will last a lifetime.

I loved that R&B called me 2 days ahead of the delivery date to let me know the 2-hour time window - that allowed me to plan the rest of my day in advance. [@] did a great job! They aren't just delivery guys - they're true professionals who know a lot about the furniture. When they finished, every piece was placed perfectly; every bit of packaging was removed, and there wasn't a ding or smudge or any wall or surface. Best delivery I've ever experienced! This particular piece is very heavy and had to go up to the second floor. They had to remove the drawers and base to get it up the stairs, but they did so without making a single ding on any wall. My one very minor commment - the two cabinet doors are a bit hard to open, but it's no big deal to me.

I recently moved from Kaua'i to Dallas Tx to be with my grand baby. She was pulling everything off my shelves and reveling in her discoveries. I was looking for something practical, beautiful, with storage space, that would deter her. However, she is so clever she can open every drawer and cabinet, yet she knows I would prefer that she Not open them. With everything hidden behind drawers and cabinets, it is not so very appealing --to her. So it works!!! And It Works For Me in terms of organizing and appearance.
And Everyone Who Visits LOVES this piece..........

I had lots of "piles" on my office floor and still needed file storage. This piece works great to hide my piles of stuff and give me extra file storage and drawer storage for other smaller items that were cluttering my desk (also from Room and Board). I have the parsons table in an L-shape as my desk in the dark walnut and this piece complements my desk so well! Since I only have the one set of drawers with the rolling file cabinet, this piece gives me great storage and serves as another table top if I need it!
