Since these are nightstands, I had glass pieces cut to fit on the tops. The finish does not look like it would repel anything moist.

I purchased two nightstands along with two dressers. All of it looks beautiful in my bedroom. The nightstands are the perfect height, and wide enough to have a clock, light, etc. on top.

I was looking for nightstands that were a mix of modern and traditional to sit beside an upholstered king I had just bought (which I now wish I had purchased from Room & Board). The walnut is a beautiful tone and the steel base is not too polished but still adds a bit of sparkle. Drawers open and close smoothly. Still trying to decide what to store on the shelf (which is adjustable so I can do boxes or baskets if I don't want to do books).
The delivery was really fast (about 10 days from when I ordered it). The delivery men were great and wore the nicest uniforms I have ever seen. Definitely a happy customer.

Bought this nightstand in Walnut and love it! I use it with the linear dresser, Architecture Bed in raw steel and also a custom side table for the other side of the bed also from Room and Board that is done in raw steel and black granite. The room looks awesome! The quality of the pieces is second to none. These are all pieces I will have for the rest of my life. One note there is a wax/oil you should buy from R&B to treat the wood. You should treat the wood twice in the first year and then just once a year every year after that. It's quick and easy to do and having real wood furniture is worth it.

Love the nightstand, but the top left drawer is hard to close. It catches and needs to be forced to open and close properly.

I have two of these bedside tables in our master bedroom. My style is very contemporary and these tables fit right in. There is sufficient storage in the drawer for small, personal items and a generous space below for some books. It's a very good-looking item. I have oiled the surface generously with furniture polish as I am a bit afraid that it will show a ring where you set down a glass. Also, my husband and I both use coasters. I have a console table with the same finish that I use as a make-up table, and face powder does tend to stick to the surface but it comes off with furniture polish or a similar product. Just be a bit careful and you won't regret having this piece of furniture.

I ordered this after enjoying my Linear media cabinet for about a year. It is exactly as pictured in both the catalog and the color sample that I picked up in the Santa Ana, CA store was very true.

My favorite part about Room and Board furniture is that most of it is made by craftsmen in the United States so I have always felt that I am helping to keep Americans employed when I make a purchase.
