Customer comments about Bower Loft Twin Bed and Twin Platform with Casters:

We purchased the twin loft bed and 2 twin platforms on casters for our triplets bedroom (age 8, 2 girls & 1 boy). The beds will be great for them to grow into since the have a timeless style that can appeal to different generations. They are perfect if you are trying to steer away from the standard bunk bed.

Customer comments about Bower Loft Twin Bed and Twin Platform with Casters:

I believe this bed is of excellent quality, sturdy, and looks amazing (modern and simple). I say I "believe" because the delivery was AWFUL and the delivery guys scratched the bed so bad (which is hard to do, by the way -- the finish seems really sturdy) that I need a replacement.

Customer comments about Bower Loft Twin Bed and Twin Platform with Casters:

This is the perfect bunkbed for little boys. We started using it when my sons were 4 and 1. The 1-year old moved from his crib to the lower bunk. The upper bunk is not too high (unlike many bunk beds.) It is sturdy, modern, and flexible. I love that the bottom bunk can slide directly under or at an L. It is really a great bed.

The only issue with this bed is it is impossible to get into most bedrooms. It fit fine when we lived in a modern condo. When we moved to a house (even recently built) - the 1-piece upper bunk was just too awkward to get through the doorway. We actually had a handyman cut the higher bunk right above the 2nd bar up, drill holes 2 holes above and below the cut, and screw a piece of metal on the inside to make sure the pieces aren't separated unless we undo the bolts. But now we can take it apart and move it!!! I have no idea why the manufacturer doesn't just do thisd to the bed - it is brilliant.

Also we have 4 guard rails (2 on each) - sheets/comforters don't tuck neatly on lower bunk. Not a big deal - just not visually the best.

Delivery was prompt & polite but said they could not fit the twin loft around a corner & into the room. My husband & I moved it into the room with minimal effort after they left.

I have young kids (5 and 2 and 1/2). The oldest has wanted a bunk bed for ages. However, I didn't want the 2 year old climbing up on a tall bunk when they are playing in their room. This is a perfect alternative. Plus, it takes up less space then 2 separate beds.

Customer comments about Bower Twin Platform with Casters:

Ive had this bed for years - the loft bed with the double bed underneath. We recently moved to a smaller space and I was SO PLEASED to find out I could order the twin bed seperately (I am now using it under the upper loft bed for my kids and the double bed has become my bed.) These beds will last forever. They are so sturdy yet suprisingly light - I moved the double bed from one room to another by myself on its side - so not using the casters. And I'm barely 100 pounds. The upper loft and double bed that weve had for 7 or 8 years is in perfect condition, not a single scratch and weve moved twice in the last year. (We have the orniginal "metal" color.)

Customer comments about Room & Board Bower Loft Twin Bed and Twin Platform with Casters:

I used this frame under a bed it was not paired with on the display floor.
It works, but I had to buy a really thin mattress in order for it to fit under the bed. The sheets and blankets make it tight fit, but.....I knew it would be tight when I bought it and I don't mind, it is wonderful to have extra room for guests. It would be better with smaller wheels so I could get an additional inch of clearance between framed bed and roll away.

              Service and delivery comments:

Delivery prompt but they were in a rush and rang door bell twice and POUNDED on the door (I was en-route but wasn't sprinting) until I came to the door.

Be advised that this frame comes already assembled— the loft bed is one welded piece. As such, it's large and slightly unwieldy. The frame would not fit through our kids' bedroom door. We had to take the entire door frame— not just the door— off to fit the frame into the room.

Yes, the high twin bed is available. Above the product image we have selection for size and within that the high twin bed is at the end of the list and is $500.

We live in St. Paul MN and have purchased many items from room and Bd over the years. I am wondering what the exact clearance is that we'll need if we want to purchase the loft twin bed. Many people have complained about it... Our house is old with nooks and crannies, so I'd like to resolve before we get the bed... Thanks

                        A:

The loft is one piece and does not come apart for delivery so the overall dimensions of 81w x 42d x 31h need to be considered as you look at your home and the path for delivery. Since the 31" height is only at the ends of the bed there is the ability to notch the bed frame through doorways but its important then to consider the length to make sure there is room to maneuver. We are happy to help but we'll need you to take some measurements and consider some questions such as ...
Have you been able to deliver something of similar size, perhaps a box spring, to this space? Do walls, light fixtures or stairway heights interfere? Our fit guide gives some visuals on how to measure.
