"Mexican Night," a 1979 piece by American abstract expressionist Robert Motherwell, is reproduced in this serigraph. Motherwell found inspiration during his travels and Mexico was a favorite spot for him.
Serigraphy is a process in which multiple layers of ink are manually pressed through fine screens which replicates the unique qualities of the original artwork.

This is a great piece of art, by a famous abstract expressionist.
i was very surprised by the poor construction quality of the frame, and returned the piece for a replacement unit. The corners of the frame had gaps, and we not tightly butted together. We'll see how the replacement looks when it is delivered.
i insisted the replacement piece be delivered to the store, so that they can verify frame construction before I come to pick it up.
I defer final judgement until I get the replacement piece, but I felt it was important to write this review to alert folks to the issue I experienced. Very poor quality control by the vendor who makes this print . They should have never shipped what they did

The Maple frame gives this serigraph a finished and sophicated look (as opposed to the black extruded aluminum frames usually used). This works very well with the light natural oak trim in the house. The size allowed for pick-up using our PT Cruiser.
