More sculpture than table, this piece was designed by sculptor Isamu Noguchi in 1948. He believed that art should "disappear" by blending into and complementing its surroundings. As a sign of authenticity, Noguchi's signature is silkscreened on the edge of the top and on a medallion on the underside of the base, while his initials are stamped into the base.
