This tray is very versatile. It is now sitting on my coffee table and holds books and a small orchid. I also use it to carry drinks outside on my patio. I love the clean, sharp lines - it goes perfectly with the rest of my decor. I chose the natural steel color because of the depth of the hues - it looks gray in some light and has a slight brown tint in other light.

This is a great piece to add a minimalist, yet industrial touch to a room. I use it as a sort of centerpiece on top of my bedroom dresser, but it would also look great on a kitchen table or countertop as well. Don't expect to use it as a 'breakfast in bed' tray, as it might snag delicate bedding.

This tray has clean lines and it is very useful. We have it on top of a ottoman which allows us to doubbed the ottoman as a table. I love the dark steel color. It matches other accent tables we have. This color also doesnt clashes with our other main colors, so it is great for building up a room.

I recently purchased the steel open end tray and love how it looks! As I was surfing your web sight however i saw that you have many other steel products offered in color options, such as the shelves and frames. Your red option fits perfectly into the look of my design style and would LOVE to know if there is ANY way I can have my tray painted red? It would be the perfect accent!

In the photo of this item there appear to be small, round, rubber or plastic surface protectors at each corner, but these aren't specified in the product description. Does the tray come with these protectors? if so, could they be easily removed without leaving marks on the tray? Yes the surface protectors are included with our open end steel tray. The bumpers can be removed.
