Needed a shelf/picture ledge on a large wall with a flat screen. This provided the right counterpoint to the black box. I've arranged it with overlapping pictures and a small piece of pottery. It gives the wall (and room)a much needed lift and new focal point.

The best thing about this shelf is that it comes in different lengths. I got the 5 foot one, and it is made of quality heavy gauge brushed stainless steel. Beautiful! Shipped in perfect condition. Keep in mind that this is steel and the edges of the shelf are very sharp. If you dropped the heavy piece on your foot or leg, or if you grab the edge without care, it will cut like a knife (so not only sharp looking, but literally, sharp).

I bought this shelf to display some pictures in a way that would add more than just hanging them. When it arrived it had all of this black stuff all over it, it looked like tire treads and I was afraid I would have to return it. But my friend who was going to hang it for me suggested cleaning it with stainless steel cleaner, which he happened to have. He said stainless steel tends to oxidize during shipping. It cleaned up without any problem at all and now it looks great.

Luckily the holes for mounting this picture rail are 16" apart. That enabled me to mount it into the studs. The screws and expansion anchors were way too small.
