The room&board's Portica bed is delightful to look at and to sleep on!
Love at first sight because it's clean lines and material "stainless" and it's sturdy weight. Our bed is king size and it truly perfected our bedroom.
I can see this bed works for both classic and modern minimalist's taste.
Delivery was excellent service too!

Customer comments about Portica Queen Tall Bed:
To be honest, like someone else on here, bedbugs were going thru my building apt by apt. Somehow, you just never think this will happen to you in a lovely spotless apartment in a nice doorman building but...look out!! It happened. I was so freaked out and traumatized that I threw away a gorgeous, expensive upholstered bed that was only a year old. Even though bugs were never found on the bed...the thought that they could be burrowing in there...I just couldn't deal with it.
I really liked the Piper stainless bed, but was concerned that it was too low, and that once I put all my pillows on, no headboard would show. I liked the Portico, but thought it might be too high--and I was right. I feel like it is too high and I am on the tall side. I like to step out of bed in the morning...not leap. Perhaps I need to purchase a lower profile mattress (mine is a plush style), perhaps I was just used to a platform bed. On the plus side, there is a HUGE amount of storage area down there which is very important to most Manhattan residents. I actually considered having someone cut the legs down, but will just wait to see if I get used to it.

- Portica Queen Bed
Q:
What's the difference between this bed and the Parsons? Just the finish?Asked on 5/19/2013 by Time for a new bed!1 answer
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
A:
The materials from which these are made is different. The Parsons bed in Natural Steel while the Portica bed is Stainless Steel. The Portica bed's steel tubing is also a bit smaller than the Parsons Bed.Answered on 5/19/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board
