Really nice clean design that goes well with a lot of styles and looks of high quality. The leather is soft to the touch but the seat still feels firm and sturdy. It's a small enough footprint that it doesn't take up much space at all, but can provide extra seating for two. I have it set off to the side under a mirror in my small living/dining combo room, and plan to use it for extra seating in either the living room grouping, or pull up to the dining room table if expanded. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the leather was not securely sewn at one area of the piping on the edge and came up. Rather than return it, I just tucked it back in and will keep an eye on whether it pops out again.

I use this bench for additional seating in my leaving room and wanted something that would be elegant, coordinated and that would not clutter the space. Before I finalize the purchase, I was very happy to bring home a sample of leather to check the coordination with my current furniture color. I also like that I was able to choose the finish of the bench feet and that I had option with the bench length. It looks perfect. The service at Room and Board was very professional and the delivery guy was on time and very courteous.

Perfect bench for my bedroom which has brushed metal accent. It complements the legs of this bench. However, I had to let it air out a few days before putting it in my room due to strong odor from the leather. I can still smell it, but it is getting weaker.

The portica bench (18" square) was the perfect solution for a window seat. Stand or sit at the window and take in the views. It is nearly the same height as the window sill without any interference from a rising backrest.

With a large crowd for dinner it becomes an additional seat at the table or extra seating in the living room. We love it!

I purchased the Portica bench in Bison white about 9 months ago. We use it in our dining room at the table, and it is my 6 year old daughter's favorite place to sit. Because I have two children I knew that I was taking a chance with the white color. The look is fabulous, and the leather cleans up nicely. My only criticism is that the leather has scratched. At first I was upset about this, but now I think of it as gaining a nice patina. I contacted Room & Board and they suggested using a special leather cleaner and conditioner, which I do.
