Customer comments about Riley Duo Bunk:
This bunk is awesome. One complaint is that when you are lying on the bottom bunk you can see exposed construction for top bunk. They should redesign so it is aesthetically complete from all views.

Customer comments about Riley Duo Bunk:
The bunk bed is well made, sturdy, and has a very nice design. Its joinery is workman like in the best sense of the word. My daughters really enjoy it. We like the full bed for guests when they visit. The only problem I had was the quality of the finish. It had some runs and spots with finish missing. Fortunately, R&B made it right. They are a retailer and can't control every aspect of the construction but it was great to see them step up an make things right when there was a problem. This was my first R&B purchase and I look forward to purchasing other items.

Customer comments about Riley Duo Bunk:
Gorgeous! Love the way the ladder is attached. The R&B customer service was fabulous - no issues with assembly. It is a bit difficult to make the top bunk, but I expect this would be the case with any bunk bed.

Customer comments about Riley Duo Bunk:
We love this bunk bed! I did a lot of research and found the Riley was the best design and very sturdy and safe compared to other similar company's offerings. The wood colors are great and fit with a variety of other woods in dressers and tables that we already own.
The slats on the top bunk were a little too natural with some knots and splintered pieces, but as soon as the customer service sent me an email asking about the bunk and heard about my concern, they sent a team out to replace them the next week.
I have to say the delivery teams were one of the best parts of our experience. They were fast and so very nice. They even helped my husband get my son's old bed into the attic!
I could not ask for better customer service in all areas of our order. We will totally use Room and Board again for our next furniture needs!

Customer comments about Riley Duo Bunk Bed:
Exceptional customer service and on-time delivery. Upon arrival it was assembled for me in about an hour. This bunk bed is very sturdy and has a great ladder design. I am impressed with the quality and the fact that there isn't a "chemical" (paints and wood treatments off-gas) smell to it. My one and only complaint is that it is difficult to put sheets on both the top and bottom bunks. Is this the case for all bunk beds?

Customer comments about Riley Duo Bunk Bed:
The bed and overall construction are good and the design is nice but, there are numerous sharp edges due to small intolerances in the cut lengths of wood where flush fitting pieces come together (e.g. ladder treads notched into vertical ladder support members and bed end lateral support members fitting with the four vertical support members of the bed). A hand does not slide smoothly over these surfaces (especially the rounded front facing ones that are most likely to be touched) and one would not want to apply any more than a light grip so as to avoid getting scratched. These edges do not protrude more than a few tenths of a centimeter but its just enough that sooner or later someone is bound to get a scratch. Too bad because it seems the only way to avoid this would be to assemble the bed and sand the compete unit and then apply the finish. Not exactly ideal for shipping or fitting through doorways and hallways.

Customer comments about Riley Duo Bunk Bed:
We love the Riley bunk beds they look awesome in our kids room. We thought our eldest son, who is 8 might not be into to it but he loves them too. The only drawback is making the beds but I would suppose that would be an issue with most bunk beds.
The pros are high quality, durable and they feel very safe. Although the ladder can be slippery with socks on but we added traction dots to prevent slipping.

Customer comments about Riley Duo Bunk Bed:
Excellent customer service from the showroom to the delivery and setup. We are very pleased with the Riley! Mattresses fit snugly onto beds which makes it difficult to make but we decided to place the mattress pad and fitted sheet on mattress and blankets neatly folded at ends. Study design, both my husband and I have climbed onto the top bunk (300lb max we were told) and slept on the bottom bunk with comfort.

Q:
what are the sizes of the Riley Duo bunk bed mattresses? And If i want to buy the trundle, what size mattress is needed? full or twin?Asked on 5/18/2013 by bunk bed customer1 answer
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
A:
The Duo bunk offers a full size platform on the bottom and a twin on top. Both the top and the trundle bed are recommended with a thinner profile mattress. On the top the thinner profile is safer and allows the guardrails to function best and for the trundle the thinner height makes it easier for the clearance under the bed. Our trundle mattresses are 5"h and you'll want to consider staying between 5-6".Answered on 5/18/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board
