I ordered the " smoke" color as it appears charcoal gray/ black on the website. The base of the lamp was a very unappealing brown, especially a brown made of a transparent plastic. I had to return it but am happy wth the "gray". It is a light/silver gray shade with a clear base. The design is adorable (I have the smallest size ). The light is beautiful at every level. Couldn't be happier with the effect it has in the room. ( I also own the cortina lamps, which have dimmer switches,but I liked his light output even better). Some people might not like how the cord cuts down through the center . It doesn't seem right for such clean lines but it doesn't other me as much as I thought would.

We got two of these lamps to go on either side of our bed. They provide just the perfect lighting to read and/or give ambiance to the bedroom. Love the dimmer switch. We ran the cords to the outlet, securing it to the table so the cord does not show much at all on our Room and Board C tables. Loads of compliments already.

This lamp is adorable! It is sleek and modern, yet with a sassy spark. It even comes with its own little suede cleaning cloth for the base. The only issue I have with it is the dimmer switch. It's a smooth conical knob that's a bit difficult to grip & turn. I have to reach behind the nightstand to access the switch and then get a good grip on it to turn the lamp on and off. But I would still buy it again - it's just that cute!

Bought both the medium and large tube top lamps. Both are great, and look really sleek and sophisticated. The large tube lamp has a dimmer that you adjust with your foot, and the medium has a dimmer as well. If you like the look online, you'll enjoy these lamps.
