As an art collector, the walls are your first target, but if they are done you still have to find a place for your art books and some sculpture. Woodwind took care of both. I can't be more happy with the combination of simple clean design, the colorful books and some striking sculpture on top of the the bookcase.

This bookcase is odd. While the front looks fine, the back is unfinished, and you can clearly see the staples and MDF. I use it as a console behind my Levin sofa, but the sofa is lower than the bookself by 1 inch, so it's pretty obvious that the back of the bookshelf is unfinished. Unfortunately, this aspect makes it look cheap. Doesn't seem like very good value for the money (I got the walnut version, which cost extra).
I have other Room and Board pieces which are high quality, but this one was disappointing.

This is an absolutely gorgeous bookcase. We love it. The price may seem a tad high for a bookcase, but it is a beautiful piece of furniture that is worth the price. The quality shines through. We have it in a prominent spot to display cherished books and decorative items, and it looks wonderful. My partner doesn't get very excited about any retail purchase, and he has said over and over again how much he loves it.
Service and delivery comments:
The gentlemen that delivered the bookcase were friendly and on time. They made sure we had the bookcase just the way we wanted it and they showed us how to make it so that it never wobbles. And they wouldn't take a tip. What more could you ask for?

The shelf is great to store my kids' books and our books -- it is short, so fits along a partially open wall perfectly, and it is narrow enough to not get in the way when we walk. We love it and are considering buying another!

Many times 30 inch high bookshelves don't have enough space, but these are wonderful. Plenty of room for larger books. The finish and woodgrain are beautiful - just ordered a custom cabinet with glass doors.

The entire Woodwond line is beautiful and functional. I bought the Cherry and I am thinking about some more pieces maybe different heights, to create an intersting look. Nicely made and correctly priced for the quality. I mean you could go to [@] and get a [*] piece of lessor quality for more $$$.
