we bought the york twin sleeper because in our small nyc coop, we needed additional seating and wanted to offer overnight guests more than just the sofa we already had or an air mattress on the floor. the bed part is great. we've had several happy guests since we got the sleeper. the chair is the perfect size for our apartment and is generally comfortable, though we prefer our super-comfy metro full size sofa. after the york is broken in i'm sure it will rival them metro.

I purchased this sofa bed for my spare bedroom/study. I wanted the perfect combination of a relaxing sofa and really comfortable bed that made my guests feel welcome. I just had my first guest stay over and got rave reviews for how comfortable the bed is. The key is the inflatable mattress on top of the regular mattress you would find in most sofa beds. Together they make one comfortable bed. And when folded up, the sofa is both great looking and inviting to sit on.

I looked long and hard to find a sofabed that was comfortable. They all seem too big, resulting in my propping myself forward to bend my knees at the right spot. THIS one is perfect; my back and knees are where they want to be. The style is simple enough to blend in with the rest of our furniture, which is mostly antiques.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was incredibly professional. They kept us informed throughout the day on their schedule, and when they arrived they were courteous and skilled. Due to the huge distance they had between deliveries that day, they didn't arrive until evening, but they kept us informed and asked us if we would prefer to wait. Overall, fantastic service. We also liked the service in the store, and decided on this piece because the service at Room and Board was much better than at other stores we visited.

We have had our couch for a month now and we have been very happy with our purchase. The clean lines of the couch and the color (charcoal) makes our home look very modern, and yet it's also very comfortable. We purchased the sleeper to function as our main couch in the living room and to accommodate overnight guests. The first night we received our couch we tried out the mattress and found it very comfortable. Since then we have had visiting family members sleep on the couch and comment that it was so comfortable - they couldn't believe it was a sleeper. If you are considering this couch and your style is contemporary/modern, you will not be disappointed.
Service and delivery comments:
The delivery service was prompt and very good. They showed up within the two-hour time frame just as Room and Board had communicated. The delivery people were very courteous and very helpful, they even wrapped the couch with a blanket to protect it from the stucco walls outside our apartment.

This is a continuation of a previous review. At that time we had not used the fold out bed. Well, I am happy to say that it is pretty comfortable. Our guests said that they thought it was comfortable, the only issue was that it needed an extra mattress cover because it was cold against the air mattress.
