Textiles made from alpaca wool have unique properties making them insulating without bulk, so these throws can be woven thin yet still give and retain warmth.

We had read all the reviews and were convinced this would be a great accent piece in our main room IF the throw was actually the beautiful blue in the photo. Often what you get is a poor match to the website image. Not so here! When the throw arrived it was exactly the color we wanted and a spot-on match to the website. Nice job, Room & Board!

Overall we are very happy with this throw. The price is comparable to other alpaca throws available. We were a bit unhappy with the color selection provided but in the end decided to go with it because it is very warm and importantly does not shed.

The Horizon throw is perfect all year round, especially here in the San Francisco Bay Area with our ever-changing weather patterns. The jewel tone turquoise is striking as a bed throw and the light weight wool is warm and soft. I plan to purchase the horizon throw in another color for our couch. It invites you to curl up and take a nap.
