We bought these chairs because my husband and son found our other black leather dining chairs to be too narrow and uncomfortable. Fortunately I chose to just buy two Marie chairs to mix with my old chairs. My husband and son really like them: They are wider, deeper, and "cushier" than my old chairs. However, for me, with short legs, I tend to slide forward and the Marie chair is not comfortable. Good, well-made, albeit expensive, chair for a person who is closer to 6' than 5' tall.

We had purchased similar styled chairs from another well known vendor but after five months of trying to convince ourselves that they were ok (they cut off the circulation in our legs and caused our backs to ache!) we returned them and purchased 5 of these chairs and are very happy we did! The padding is amazing, feels like you are sitting on a pillow compared to the other ones we had. Also, the width of the seat is a bit wider, which I didn't think would make much of a difference, but surprisingly it did! The slight curve of the back creates great support and is also very comfortable. The style is classic, the leather is super soft and easy to clean (which was a major factor in selecting chairs because of grandchildren!) and the overall design is great. We are very happy with Room and Board and the purchase of these chairs!

Seriously comfy chairs. The womenfolk can't touch the floor though, and tend to slide off the chairs. If they were an inch shorter, they'd be the perfect chair. Where's my saw?

Perfect. We ordered two too many, and the guys took them back no questions asked. When I dropped by the store to finish up the return, I found it was already scheduled for the following Monday morning.

We've had 6 of these chairs for almost two years now and they look fabulous. It's very comfortable to sit on with its wide seat. The width, however, is greater than most chairs, so you won't be able to fit as many around a dining room table. The back does not go that high so it's not as formal as other chairs. We got them in ebony and leather. Regarding the leather, the full grain is beautiful but the texture can be different, so one of our chairs has a more pebbled texture than the others.

It is a great chair...little pricey, but the leather is softer and more durable than a cheap version. Careful to not run fingers nails along it or you may scratch it (which seems to be typical of any good leather).
