As the other reviewer mentioned, this a very versatile lamp. I use this lamp to highlight art and illuminate a small side table. My only complaint is that the side plastic lenses are a bit fragile. I had a lightweight object fall one side of the lamp and the plastic was chipped.

The light is so versatile because of the adjustment possibilities: Height adjusts, both lamps spin independently and the dimmer allows for infinite lighting schemes. Bright enough for reading in bed, and also great for mood lighting, up-lighting, etc. The transformer has been improved from 5 years ago when I bought my first Pablo Gloss lamp.
