Customer comments about Hoffman King Bed:

I love this bed. I bought it in the stock bluish color. I was worried it would limit my bedding options but works well with grey, white, orange, even green. I'm glad I went with a real color instead of gray or beige like I always do. I was reading in bed last night thinking how nice it is to have a cloth headboard - it's very comfy to lean against. I can tell the fabric is durable. And you can balance a glass, a book, your eye glasses on the top if needed which is nice. I think the headboard is the perfect height and proportion.

      Service and delivery comments:

As usual, Room and Board delivered on time, with a call ahead, and assembed it quickly. Delivery guys moved it exactly where I wanted it. Sales people in the store were also super helpful - no pressure - just friendly and knowledgable. 5 star customer service from Room and Board. I returned a sofa to R&B before buying this bed after it didn't fit the space. They were so accomodating with that return, how could I not want to do business with them again. Finally a company that understands developing loyalty!

Customer comments about Hoffman California King Bed:

It is very sturdy. Works great with our sleep number mattress and the pump fits under the bed (i.e. no box spring needed; we did order plywood sheets from R&B, which are fabric covered). It is low profile, but just around the perimeter so you can still store things under the bed.

Customer comments about Hoffman King Bed:

We wanted a king-sized bed that was low to the ground, so that our son could crawl around on it and if he falls (which he inevitably will, I'm sure), it won't be from too high up. There is no box spring, but it's definitely not a low platform bed. Still, we love it. It's beautiful.

Customer comments about Hoffman Queen Bed:

This is the very first "real" bed I have purchased new and I am so pleased with it. It is as beautiful as in the photos--love the texture of the fabric, the color (Spa), design...everything.

                Service and delivery comments:

Delivery men were on time, polite and very efficient. They even took their shoes off, as there was a huge downpour right before they brought in the furniture.

Customer comments about Hoffman Queen Bed:

Our 3 year old Hoffman just broke in the middle of the night. The rails that hold up the mattress are screwed into the side rails, and don't rest on a frame. It looks like the wood screws supporting the mattress just bent or sheered off. No, I am not particularly heavy -- I weigh less than 200 lbs. and I don't put any unusual wear and tear on the bed. I think the bed is just poorly designed.
After being a room and board loyalist for many years, I look forward to finding out whether They stand behind their products!

I fell in love with this bed after seeing it in the New York Times Decor magazine. I have been looking for an upholstered bed and this one has a slightly reclined angle to the headboard which looks perfect for reading in bed. However, since receiving it, I have two problems with this bed. First, the headboard is too tall - you can't tell from the photo, but when seated on the bed for reading, the back is much taller than a couch, it towers above head height. Second, the headboard is not nice and cushiony like it looks, but more like fabric stretched over a wood frame. It's also very short, so our nightstands look giant.
