Looked for months for comfortable deep-seat sofas. I didn't buy this sofa right away because the reviews scared me regarding the cushions not keeping shape and also because I was afraid it might be too modern with the steel legs. After finally deciding on the Hayes I'm so glad I did. It's not too modern and looks great in the space. I think this style would work well in both large and small spaces. As for the cushions losing shape- yes they do, however thats what makes it so comfortable. When company is coming I fluff them and they look perfect. Everyone has commented how much they love it. I bought it in the stocked oatmeal color and I'm pleased with that as well. It hides the dog hair and I haven't noticed denim rubbing off on it or any other stains. I would highly recommend.

This is a nice looking sofa, but the down feathers are poking out all over the entire sofa. It makes it look awful, not to mention it's super uncomfortable when they poke you constantly.
The fabric is also a bit scratchy. Because this is filled with feathers, the cushions constantly need to be fluffed and turned.
Overall very disappointed with this purchase.

When we bought a new house and didn't have room for our Orson sectional from R&B anymore, we were bummed and weren't sure we could find a better couch. But now we feel like moving to the Hayes couldn't have been more perfect for us. We use this couch as our primary everyday seating in front of the TV. The depth is perfect for lounging, and the cushions are extremely comfortable. The inner springs in the seat make it very heavy, but after a few months of use it is still holding its shape wonderfully. The single cushion also makes it great for getting cozy with the family without anyone falling into any cracks. Another R&B purchase we are very, very happy with.

We bought this sofa last year. it looked great in our family room. Perfect size and very comfortable. A few months later the goose feathers are coming off the pillows and the seats. today i was visiting the store and noticed few people evaluating the sofa. I wanted to tell them about our experience but decided to come home and write it instead.

We tried out every sofa in R&B and decided on this one, and are extremely happy with the choice. My husband is very tall (6'8'') and for him the deep seats are perfect. I am short but love to curl up on the seats, so it works perfectly for both of us. It's very comfortable for lounging, watching TV, or reading. The additional pillows that come with the couch are great for reducing the depth of the seat. The sofa style is a nice blend of informal and formal - I think you could use it in a variety of settings, and the oatmeal color is a great neutral tone that works with many other colors. My only small complaint is with the fabric, which isn't as soft as some sofas, but it has other advantages - it doesn't attract cat hair, and I think small stains wouldn't show up on it. I haven't had the experience of the cushions losing their shape or looking wrinkly. We do "punch" the cushions after sitting on them for a while just to even them out a bit, but I don't even think we need to do that. Highly recommended!

As another reviewer noted, the fabric can get a bit rumpled, but I find it easy to smooth out when company is coming. The lines are clean enough that it doesn't have a tacky overstuffed look, but it's the most comfortable sofa I've ever owned. People who like to sit upright may find it to be too deep, but if you enjoy curling up and lounging like I do, this is the perfect sofa for you. I'm completely happy with my purchase.

Had to return it. A friend said it looked like it belonged in a college dorm. Apparently the rumpled tendency comes from the cotton content, according to a B&B staffer.
