Product goes well with exisiting P&B products. However we had to return our initial orders (2 shelves) both due contruction defect. In both cases the edges were coming off. We assume the cold weather in Michingan and poor use of glue caused the issue. (Ordered in February)
We had to re-order and again similar defect was apprent on the new ones. Got tiered in returning and decided to fix it myself.
Sad for such a high price item.

these shelves are essentially hollow so you cannot put much weight on them. unless your walls are perfectly straight, they are difficult to hang completely flush w/your wall but to be fair, this is the way w/almost all seamless mounting shelves. there needs to be a better system. r&b do provide great service, they took back the shelves that i did not want n credited my acct. without a hitch!! i did get free standing bookshelves that were great.

The 2 shelves are hanging above my desk, an easy reach for reference books, and, yes, a real dictionary! The are attractive and go well with the cherry parsons style desk, the three drawer cabinet and two drawer lateral file cabinet. They were easy for my husband to install, although precision in measuring is important because there is no wiggle room or fudge factor in drilling the holes. The lines of the shelves are simple and clean. I'm very pleased.

I thought I was going to love this based on the other reviews. It was just delivered about 10 minutes ago. I ordered the walnut finish and was expecting it to look like the one in the picture on the website. It was much, much, lighter in color - not what I wanted at all. It is darker than the maple but not nearly as dark as the walnut pictured. It also has a matte finish not lacquer. The one in the picture shows a reflection of the art work off the shelf - indicating a sheen. Mine has no sheen at all. Not what I wanted or thought I was buying.

I bought this shelf, returned it, then rebought it because I couldn't find anything less expensive and of similar quality. Of course I didn't scour all of WDC and its environs. Don't have that kind of time. It's a beautiful, simple, solid piece that looks sculptural against a long burnt orange wall.

I got two of these shelves and hung them in my living room. I use the lower one for books and the upper one for art items, flowers, etc. They were easy to install and give a very clean look. I love them!

I bought this to go with the Hudson Media Cabinet. It looks great. I could not have found a more perfect fit. I needed something to balance the room and it is above the tv.

Used 3 shelves to fill up a wall where we didn't want a full bookshelf.
Relatively easy to hang...a bit tricky to get 3 lined up.
Shipping was 'ok' at best. Each was wrapped in a thin foam sheet and loosely packed in a box which allowed it to move around inside during shipping. One came damaged.
