This is the light we needed as we have all low voltage lighting. Great but sometimes we missed the warmth and reading focus of a more traditional light. This blends very well with our mid century modern, contemporary decor! It has a high and low switch...it would be great if it had a dimmer switch on the cord like most of your other lamps we have purchased.

My husband and I looked for lamps for over a year and happened on these. We love the look, because the lamps are both traditional and modern at the same time. We wanted something simple that would change with our tastes, and this is it! It totally complements our modern/Art Deco/mid-century modern style now, but could easily fit into a formal living room setting.I was surprised to find that the lamps are quite heavy, but now love that, because no one will ever bump into and knock them over! Beautiful workmanship - a piece of art. The lamp has a two-way switch, so if you want to tone down the brightness a bit, you can. We put LED bulbs in ours, and they work great.[*] the quality is great, so I guess I can live with that for now. Thanks Room & Board for making a stunning quality piece available.
