This piece provides needed storage in an elegant and simple form for both books and media components. We chose cherry, which looks warm and rich with the glass doors. The oil finish shows off the beauty of the wood. The piece fits in nicely in a small family room in our farmhouse and works perfectly with our mix of traditional and contemporary pieces.
Service and delivery comments:
We are out of the delivery area so we picked up the piece in our pickup from the warehouse. The staff there is always very helpful in loading and wrapping so that the piece is protected on our journey.

While I like the look of the piece and the quality of construction, it is fundamentally flawed in that is is too shallow to fit any of my electronic components. Not sure why it is billed as a media cabinet when it will not accommodate electronics. I'm at a loss as to what to use it for.

The Devin shelves are about 28"w x 15"d and since they are relatively compact you should need to worry about the weight of the items that fit on the shelf. Whether you are filling the shelf with books, records, components or dishware they will function well. We would always recommend putting your heaviest items on the bottom shelf of the unit since it is built into the frame of the case and therefore the most secure.Answered on 5/6/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board
