Customer comments about Innes 24h 72w Two-Door Media Cabinet with Steel Base:
We ordered the 120" unit in walnut with stainless steel legs. I love the color and the style looks great in our modern condo.
I was disappointed in the quality of the finish - rather dull and not smooth. It feels like there was a lack of a final fine-grit sanding process or the finish had dust in it when applied. The cabinet arrived with small scratches and gouges on the top and shelves. I like the textural appearance of the uneven wood pieces on the doors but the ends of the pieces should have been sanded smooth before assembly; some of the ends have splinters. That's carrying texture a bit too far. Also, the boards that comprise the body of the cabinet are veneered particle board. One of the boards used in our cabinet shows the zigzag seam where the wood was pieced together.
Finally, the cord management openings in the back of the cabinet are too small as others have mentioned. The common three-prong plug found on power strips does not fit. We had to dremel out the hole to widen it. While the price of this unit is not crazy I think it's fair to ask for better quality control. That said, as long as you don't examine the unit closely, the size and style look great.
Service and delivery comments:
The unit was delivered with a shelf bracket missing. The delivery person promised to have it sent to us. Meanwhile we can't use that shelf.

Customer comments about Innes 24h 72w Two-Door Media Cabinet with Steel Base:
I fell in love with this piece right away. It is the perfect addition to our living room. The quality is gorgous and I love the wood detail on the cabinet doors. The only issue we faced was with the cable management. We couldn't fit a normal surge protector thru the back hole (as stated by another reviewer). Room and Board was kind enough to offer a repair service to saw larger holes but after a long search we finally found something small enough to fit. It is a tight squeeze but we made it work with all the cords. For perspective we have cable box, wii, dvd player, and router all stored inside the various cabinet space. If they could resolve this issue I would give it five stars all the way!

Customer comments about Innes 24h 52w One-Door Media Cabinet with Steel Base:
This is a beautiful piece of furniture. One caution - the cherry color is not as deep/dark as the photo portrays. The actual cherry wood color is much lighter. Even with the lighter color, we are still very happy we purchased it.

Customer comments about Innes 24h 72w Two-Door Media Cabinet with Steel Base:
This cabinet is great! We love the design, low and sleek, but also interesting with the wooden detail on the doors. We use this in the family room and the doors mimic the brick on our fireplace. Nice piece.

This is a gorgeous piece of furniture. The natural cherry finish is beautiful. Everyone walks into our family room now and says how much bigger it feels with this cabinet. We will definitely shop Room & Board in the future.

Customer comments about Innes 24h 72w Two-Door Media Cabinet with Steel Base:
This cabinet is solid, well constructed. The design of the legs allows for some visual breathing room especially considering the heavy duty use of the furniture (tv stand, house lots of media components). The closed compartment is large enough to house a surge protector that all the components are plugged into. It is a functional, beautiful piece of furniture we plan keep forever.

Holds my big screen TV and two gaming systems and the many games. It gives style to a necessarily functional furniture item. Nice to be able to close the doors on the gaming clutter. I LOVE the wood and the design.

Customer comments about Innes 24h 52w One-Door Media Cabinet with Steel Base:
It's a great media console and TV stand. The heigh is great for the TV, and all our components fit in the cabinet easily, though the holes in the back to pass cables through are on the small side and we had to buy a new power strip to get through the hole.
Really nice workmanship, maybe even better than the Room & Board average.

Q:
Hi,
Can this cabinet be made in a custom depth? The design would work well but needs to be no deeper than 15" for a small room. Thanks!Asked on 5/14/2013 by Suzy from Austin1 answer

A:
The Innes collection does not have custom options for cabinet size. Our Graham, Devin and Sinclair media cabinets are our narrowest at 18"d.Answered on 5/14/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board
