I have had this rug for 1 1/2 years. It sheds excessively. I have to vacuum the hardwood floors around this rug several times a day and the rug several times per week. My clothes are covered with fibers all the time. It's gotten to the point where I'm embarrassed to invite guests to my house because their clothes are covered in fibers and my apartment looks dirty because there are fur balls everywhere. I kept calling room and board and they told me its normal for a wool rug to shed, but this rug sheds so much we can not even comfortably live in our space. The fact that we paid close to $3000 for this rug makes it all the worse, because we feel like our money is just going down the drain by throwing this rug away. On the other hand, by keeping it we are spending so much time cleaning and cleaning without any improvement in the shedding problem.

I was really disappointed with this rug. It's like they just cut it off a big roll and ship it. The plastic like backing is visible from the sides and it curls up. I returned it right away.
