Sits on top of desk, adds dimension, clean lined and will go the distance style wise as my son matures. Does not attach to desk with any brackets, so probably best against the wall. I did buy more pulls seperately in order to maintain consistency and switched out his pervious drawer pulls on his dresser, looks perfect.
