Customer comments about Wyatt Queen Low Headboard Storage Bed:

The bed is wonderful. Solid and no squeaks, and it's nice to get a choice of fabrics. The drawer opens and closes very smoothly. I knew the drawer would not be that deep, but I was surprised by its length. I feel like it takes up about 40% of the length of the bed so it's extremely functional, and actually holds a lot of stuff.

      Q:

What is size of drawer. Also what type of wood is under fabric.
Asked on 6/15/2013 by Linda from Nj

      • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

        A:

The storage drawer is 33 3/4"d and 5 1/2"h. The width of the drawer depends on the size of the bed - simply deduct 8 1/2" from the overall width to get the drawer width. For Queen size the drawer would be 59"w. The wood used in the frame of the bed is 7/8" engineered hardwood.

      Q:

Is there a drawer on both sides of the bed? I need to know exactly how many drawers there are total, thanks!

      • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

        A:

The drawer pulls out from the end of the bed. The footboard is actually the front of the drawer. So a single drawer about 33"d, 5.5"h and about 58"w on a queen size bed.

    • Wyatt Queen Low Headboard Storage Bed

      Q:

I see that the underbed clearance for the Wyatt storage bed is 2". Does that mean the bed sits on legs 2"? What is the height of the rails and footboard from the floor? If it does not require a box spring, does the mattress fit even with the side rails or does it sink in a few inches? I have a low slanted ceiling that I am concerned about. Thanks!
Asked on 6/1/2013 by Designer from Tampa

      1 answer

      • DESIGN ASSOCIATE

        A:

Yes, the Wyatt Storage bed is up off of the floor by about 2 inches. The height from the floor to the top of the rail is approximately 12 inches - the floor to the top of the footboard is 12 inches as well. From the top of the slat system to the top of the footboard/rail it is about 3.25 inches - so your mattress will be resting in the frame at about that depth.
