Customer comments about Piper Queen Bed:
Was delivered on time. The delivery guys were very professional. They surveyed the room and apartment before bringing in the bed to ensure the pathway was clear. The assembly was done very quickly and any items that were moved were put back in their original space.
Regarding the bed, I LOVE IT! It's firm! It doesn't take up too much space. And though made of metal, it has an elegance to it.

Customer comments about Piper Queen Bed:
I bought two of the king Piper bed frames and made our primary bedroom and guest room interchangeable. The bed is terrific. The design is simple, elegant, timeless. I have allergies and chose this bed for the design - no box spring, good clearance from floor, feet have felt pads so easy to slide on wood floors - it'll be easy to keep the bedroom dust-free. The frame is sturdy, no squeaks or wobbles, and I swear the metal slats make our old mattress even more comfortable to sleep on. It's easy to make this bed, just tuck the sheet and blankets up at the foot and leave the sides loose. Very happy with this purchase.
Service and delivery comments:
Our first delivery date was cancelled the night before, and the order was incomplete when they arrived the next week, so it did take three weeks to get everything here. But, customer service did communicate everything to me about the delays and the delivery team was very nice, professional, and fast at the set up. And now that everything is here, I couldn't be happier.

Customer comments about Piper Twin Bed:
This is an excellent choice for a kid's room. This is my son's first "big boy bed" and he couldn't be happier with it. I am happy with how attractive and well-constructed the bed is. I imagine this will last us many years.

Customer comments about Piper Twin Bed:
We struggled to find a kids twin bed that wasn't too childish or outrageously expensive. This was the perfect fit for us. It blends in with our decor and style, yet it's great for a child as well. We have it with the leaning desk/bookshelf and they are a great set. Our mattress could be a bit more snug in the frame, but that could just be because of our choice in mattress. We were also a bit concerned that my son might bump his head on the frame, but so far he hasn't even come close.
Service and delivery comments:
Amazing service! Here within 20 minutes of the window we were given and in and out in 15 minutes, even with setting up three pieces of furniture.

Customer comments about Piper Twin Bed:
This is my 3 yr old son`s first bed. He loves it and so do I. The design is simple and will grow with him, it`s great that it`s not juvenile looking. Putting it together was easy and quick, no tools required! I cannot report on durability as I`ve only had it for a couple of weeks, but it seems like it will last nicely. [...] I had my in-laws bring it home in their SUV on one of their trips to NYC. It worked out ok [...]

Q:
I know a box spring is not required with this bed, but is it possible to use one? If not, do you have other steel beds that can work with a box spring?Asked on 6/13/2013 by Hatwife from Grand Rapids, MI1 answer
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
A:
All Room & Board beds are designed to accommodate a mattress only, creating a clean, modern look. Adding a box spring would make the overall height too tall and cover most of the headboard. The steel slat support system eliminates the need for a separate box spring foundation. Q:
I have a difficult stairwell for deliveries. Do the side rails come as separate parts to assemble? I just need to make sure that the side rails do not arrive attached to the headboard and footboard but are actually attached and assembled on site.Asked on 5/28/2013 by Space constrained1 answer
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
A:
Yes, the side rails are separate pieces and will be attached to the headboard and footboard once in your space. Let us know if we can help with any other questions. 800.301.9720Answered on 5/28/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board

Q:
What supports the mattress? Wood slats? Steel beams?Asked on 4/26/2013 by bed specialist from oaktown1 answer
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
A:
The mattress rests on a slat system of twelve steel bars. I'm sorry we don't offer an image of this on the Piper bed but the system is the same for all of our steel beds. If you look at the Parsons bed, you'll see the last additional image shows the slat system.
If you have questions about using a mattress only, we'll be happy to share what we know. 800.301.9720Answered on 4/27/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board
