Ayomi Yoshida
Description
Renowned Japanese artist Ayomi Yoshida hand-carved wood blocks using a hakonomi chisel to create the detailed images for this series of prints. Then Ayomi used the blocks to print with water-based Japanese sumi ink on kozo paper, which is made from mulberry bark fiber. This piece features a grid of white double crosses on a black background for a decidedly graphic statement. Each of the 20 prints is signed and numbered by the artist.
