I looked all over the internet for the perfect bar stools and ended up going with these from R&B. I'm so happy with my decision. They are really cool looking, great style, sturdy but also light enough to move around and they are comfortable, too. We have two at our kitchen counter and the height is perfect. They are easy to keep clean. I am hoping that we get many years of use out of them.

We needed 5 chairs (2 adults and 3 kids) for our new 10-foot island and knew there wasn't room for anything clunky or with arms. We sat on so many counter stools and kept coming back to these. They're affordable, comfortable, and sleek (they have good back support yet fully tuck under the counter). We love the "sand" color; we had worried it would show dirt but everything wipes off very easily. Everyone who visits marvels how comfy these chairs are!

We replaced stools that were wooden and hard to sit on for a long period of time. These are so comfortable and stylish. I ordered the brown and they look great with tan/brown granite counter top. Very happy with the choice.

We bought three of these stools for the kitchen counter in our new home. We went to the R&B showroom with different stools in mind, but ended up with the Madrid because they were comfortable, affordable and we thought they would hold up well to daily use. Once I got them in to the house, I also appreciate the fact that they look great too!

First I have to say the shopping experience was outstanding and I will definitely shop with Room & Board again. However, I did end up returning the stools. They look great - as expected - and the quality seems good for the price, but I didn't find them to be comfortable. I'm 5'6" 130lbs so not particularly big, but I felt the stools were a little shallow (front to back). No question "comfort" comes down to personal preference -- I personally like to sit all the way back with my feet on the footrest. The stools looked great at my kitchen island (kitchen is open to living room) but unfortunately they didn't work for me.
