I bought this sofa for my cabin which is furnished in contemporary modern. The sofa is sturdy, folds down for a firm comfortable bed and is great for a quick nap. The materials are durable, the construction sturdy. I'm really pleased with everything about this sofa. I'm thinking I may get another one for the TV room in my house in Minneapolis.

We have a typical small room that is perfect for a small office and we added this piece specifically for it's scale and functionality. Our decor includes a mash of contemporary with a small hit of traditional pieces and alot of antique asian pieces and original art. This piece was able to bridge and balance all of these styles into a cohesive addition to our home

I use this sofa in my second floor loft and it's bold red fabric and clean modern design help make this a special space. It's very firm, comfortable, and seems very well made - granted I've only had it a few weeks, but so far it's perfect - for the price it's amazing quality and style!
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was exactly on time, very polite, and the sofa arrived in perfect condition - wrapped in heavy duty plastic. They couldn't get it up my circular staircase, but it's light enough that two guys can easily pull it up on ropes and into the space. However, with any item like this make sure you measure carefully - I am lucky I could pull it up over the balcony railing.

I purchased this sofa to have the ability to use my home office as a dual purpose guest room. I love the color (the tomato red is just the right amount of BOLD)and the ease with which it converts to a sleeping surface and back again to a sofa. It has a rather firm (hard) cushion surface - which I happen to like, but others may find to be too hard to sleep comfortably. I have not had any complaints from guests. I think that the firmness of the cushions will help the sofa to retain it shape over the long haul. I think this is a perfect addition to a compact space.

i ultimately had to return this product, i actually thinks its a great buy, the only problem is that it double as a sleeping surface which is great but the cushions are so firm its not comfortable for sleeping at all. i think most folks would not be comfortable. I love room and board. i exchanged the couch for a mattress that i also needed. I will still buy my couch from room and board because the product line in general is superb. and the customer service is also excellent. thank you for making everything a pleasure

While it barely fits in our tiny room, the clean lines and uncomplicated design make it look properly proportioned. The fabric and sewing are rugged. The cushions are very firm so I'm confident it will hold up over time.
I love the three angles of the back rest AND that the three sections can be set independently. Flat is great for spreading out with the newspaper. The reclined angle is great for tv watching.

In terms of mattress sizes, would the dimensions of the Encore Sofa be equivalent to a full or queen sleeper? I'm just wondering if two adults can sleep on this.

We are going to have to move our sofa to a new apartment, and since it was assembled for us here by Room & Board, can I get advice on how best to do our first move? I am basically wondering if the legs or leg frame can be removed. Does Room & Board have assembly directions they could email me or point me to?

For transporting your Encore, we recommend laying it flat, with the back down and shrink wrapping the seat down to the base. If you choose to disassemble, you will need an 8mm allen wrench.
