Customer comments about Ian 108" Sofa with Right-Arm Chaise:
We want to love this couch. It looks great in our space in the Vessel-Cement fabric, but it really isn't very comfortable. The most comfortable part of it is the really nice, air mattress pull-out bed.
We've had the couch for about 18 months. It's never been comfortable to sit on for longer than a few minutes. We can never make it even half way through a movie without our butts and backs hurting. The cushions have not held their shape well at all, especially the chaise cushion.
As a side note, if you have pets who are allowed on the furniture you may want to pick something other than the Vessel fabric. It is like velcro for dog hair! We've had to ban our dog from this sofa.
I have had better luck with other sofas from Room and Board. I would trade this one in if I could.

Customer comments about Ian 137x106" Four-Piece Sectional with Left-Arm Chaise:
We love this couch. It is perfect for our space and the color goes with everything. It is extremely comfortable. We have children, a dog and a cat and it has stayed clean so far and doesn't snag with the animals.

Customer comments about Ian 108" Sofa with Left-Arm Chaise:
We are very happy with this sofa. Adding throw pillows is a must, but we knew that buying this sofa. But we decided we'd rather deal with a few throw pillows than loose back cushions. The material is very durable, great if you have kids (or probably pets). We haven't had to adjust cushions at all...it just looks good all the time.
The only negative is that we traded in a but of the cushy feel to have the structured look. Still worth it, as its comfortable for long periods. If also worry one spot on the chaise will get more used, but we've purposely alternated our seating.

Customer comments about Ian 106x106" Three-Piece Sectional:
We bought this sectional for the family/TV/entertainment room. It's beautiful and holds its shape (no pillows to fluff), but, it's a little stiff and not as plush/soft as our old one.

Customer comments about Ian 137x106" Four-Piece Sectional with Right-Arm Chaise:
We received this sectional over the weekend. It barely fit up the stairs but it worked!!
First off, we got the sofa with the chaise lounge. We did custom upholstery with Desmond Charcoal micro-suede, as we needed something that didn't have a weave because we have cats with claws and we knew we'd get picks in the stock fabric.
My requirements: tight back, sectional, modern but not so modern that it looks like it can't be "enjoyed". This sectional ticked all of those boxes (do you know how hard it is to find comfortable tight back sofas that don't look like they belong in grandma's house or an icy super-modern bachelor pad???)
I will admit, with the tight back you do need a throw pillow or two to give you that super cushy feel, but I'd rather need those then always be fluffing dowdy overstuffed or floppy sofa cushions.
Thus far we have tested: napping, snacking, newspaper reading, TV watching, book-reading and lounging on it and it passes all activities with flying colors! I love the upholstery, super soft, and no scratches thus far.
I can't comment obviously on how the cushions will hold up, however. But thus far we are really happy with our purchase.
Service and delivery comments:
Room&Board delivered our sofa when the hurricane was to arrive in no less than 5 hours to NYC. So mad props for that.
The delivery guys were great; I was convinced the sofa wouldn't fit up the (FIVE!!) flights of stairs but they made it work! The sofa arrive in pristine condition.
Judy H., our design associate, was a pleasure to work with in their Soho store.

Customer comments about Ian 137x106" Four-Piece Sectional with Left-Arm Chaise:
My whole family loves this sectional. We range in height from 4'10" to 6'5" and we are all comfortable. You may want to add some large pillows. Our only complaint is that we can't get totally rid of the gaps between the pieces. We keep pushing the pieces together, but the remote still finds its way in the gap constantly. This may be true with any sectional. But overall, we are extremely pleased. The fabric is comfortable and durable. Love it!
