Use it as a space for my son's computer (in conjunction with an adjustable table) as part of a study area. It is very attractive and sturdy but does not quite align with the matching Pisa shelves I have, and also has a distressing tendency to tip forward when any significant weight is placed on the front 1/3 of the desk surface. Placing heavy books on the top shelves has only exacerbated the problem. We are having to resort to placing zip ties around the desk uprights and adjoining shelf uprights to keep it from tipping.

The desk doesn't really look that great with the corner shelf and the leaning shelf (which look fabulous together themselves) because the desk height is out of synch with the other shelves and it sticks out in a bit of an odd way. Nonetheless, I would have happily kept the leaning desk because of it's space savings but I wound up returning it because the front edge of the desk part was covered in dings and black crud, which I believe was a side-effect of a poor distribution center and delivery team.

As a stand-alone incident, the damage to the desk wouldn't be all that significant but every single item I ordered from Room and Board had some damage. It seemed that the distribution center or delivery team were responsible for this rather than being a result of manufacturing. The delivery team was rude, despite me tipping them well. It took weeks to get delivery once my items were in the local distribution center.

Perfect desk for a kid, makes use of vertical space in a small room, increasing the look of the room's square footage. We purchased the bookshelf to go next to it, and all items can be displayed easily. Our son loves it.

I already own two of the bookshelves, the entire set lines one wall of the living room. It is a beautiful way to display books, photos, and have a computer/TV screen accessible, but without it dominating a room. The only con is that the desk shelf wobbles slightly and creaks when you lean on it with your arms, which you will do because its a desk.

We have 2 of these units framing our TV wall. The height on these is great. It makes the ceiling appear taller. Also, since we live in an earthquake zone, the ability to attach these to the wall is a plus.

I live in a small Manhattan apartment, so it was important that I didn't have a big clunky desk that occupied a lot of floor space. This is the perfect height, offered lots of shelf space, and had a good, deep desktop for a laptop.

Absolutely the best delivery service. I purchased two desks and they came pre-assembled; legs wrapped in plastic to protect them during delivery. The delivery men were incredibly friendly and delivered them up three flights of stairs, to my apartment. Highly recommended

i had very limited space in my daughters room (13 years old) and i needed desk/shelving units that were big enough for functionality and small enough for the room size...this was a perfect fit!!...the quality was terrific (it is actual stained wood rather than a veneer finish!!)...my daughter and my family love the look!!
