Customer comments about Room & Board Rand 40sq Dining Table:
I've had two tables delivered. I refused deliver on the first one because of the ugly welds. I accepted delivery on the second one with some reservations. Welds in top bars on tables delivered are not as nice as the ones on the floor in the store. The manufacturer has demonstrated in the floor models that they are capable of doing a better job cosmetically on visible welds, but Room and Board does not seem to think this is an issue. I disagree. I don't believe Room and Board has approaced the manufacturer to even talk about this. One question then: Why arent they showing the tables in their showroom that reflect the quality of what is being delivered?
Room and Board tells me "there is variation in welds". My reply is, "You set my expectations in what you have on the showroom floor. If what you have on the showroom floor is far superior to what you are delivering, put something representative on your showroom floor to adjust customer expectations."

Customer comments about Rand 60x36 29h Table/Desk:
I paid a little over a 1000 for this desk, which was about 800 dollars over my budget, but I didnt want to replace my furniture after everytime I moved. Very happy with the purchase. I ordered the smallest version and it was much bigger than I expected in person so watch out, you are going to a little more than what you pay for.

Customer comments about Rand 60x36 29h Table/Desk:
Great size & design for everyday mealtime family of 4. I'm not a fan of Parson's style (legs at each corner) but a rectangular table fit our nook better than a round table with center leg. Good choice of finishes, this size table is perfect for 4 with flex-capacity for 6 adults.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt, but table top was a little scratched and not centered correctly on base. I called and CSR was extremely helpful -- she sent a new table top immediately. I think 5 business days later, the new top arrived and 2 guys put the new unscathed top on and centered it perfectly. I hadn't known Room & Board for Service/Delivery but after one experience I can't imagine get furniture any other way. They were fantastic.

Customer comments about Room & Board Rand 40sq Dining Table:
This table not only looks great, but it is stable, sturdy the perfect size for our room. We looked at just about every glass topped table "out there" and none compared to the quality of this one.

Customer comments about Rand 60x36 29h Table/Desk:
Overall a nice product and a flexible size (60'X 36') for use in a kitchen.
Only disappointment: while the frame is made in the US, the glass actually comes from China. Are there no US producers capable of providing the glass at a competitive price without having to factor in overseas shipping?
Service and delivery comments:
Large truck that was not able to navigate our street. Had to meet the driver and offload the furniture into my vehicle.

Our glass tops are 1/2" thick so the overall height is 28.5"h. The wood and stone tops are 1" thick and the MDF tops are 3/4".Answered on 5/7/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board

Q:
Is the marble top mounted already or does it float, being installed at delivery? I like the look of it a lot.Asked on 4/23/2013 by "Modern" Century Fan from Denver1 answer
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
A:
The marble and all stone tops rest on the table base and its weight keeps it securely in place. At delivery our associates will place the stone top on the base so you are ready to go. I agree with you - this is a good looking table. ThanksAnswered on 4/23/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board
