I love the style and design of the table. I needed something with multiple points of orientation to work in my living room, and this does the job perfectly. However, I am a little disappointed in the construction; it wobbles a good bit. I'd recommend it, but not if you expect heavy use, or even if you have kids.

[...] I worried it might be too big. It turned out to be the perfect size for that type of couch. The shelf below adds tons of storage, which is great in a smaller home. There's also plenty of room for playing card and board games or for multiple people to work on their laptops.At first I worried that the cherry wood would clash with our light oak floors, but it actually complements them nicely (as it sits on a rug with the couch). The lacquer finish is satin which helps hide dust and fingerprints. The shape is great - very mid-century but works with almost any furniture (other than perhaps that with Victorian styling). Also, no sharp corners for clumsy adults or small children!

I saw the Gibson coffee table in walnut at the R&B showroom in San Francisco and decided to but it for a second home I was setting up in Chicago. I also bought a Reese sofa and they look amazing together. I always look forward to my Chicago trip to see the furniture! I am now in process of doing a small lounge room for my company and just decided to order a Gibson coffee table for the lounge - but hard to decide on which finish to get.

Looks great in front of an L-shaped, equal-sided sectional sofa -- a perfect alternative to a square or round cocktail table. The cherry wood is simply gorgeous. As usual with Room & Board products, this is a quality piece with simple but beautiful design, materials and workmanship.

We paired the Gibson with the Reese L sectional; it fits the midcentury feel, height, and the curvature of the couch beautifully. It's an investment, but to this day we haven't found anything more gorgeous or stylistic. Worth every penny!
