I have 3 kids that are 7 and under, they are the sturdiest chairs that are available on the market and they fit under the counter so when we are using the kitchen island as a buffet during a large gathering, they fit nicely and you don't even know they are there.

These stools are used at the bar between the kitchen and family room. They fit under the bar so they don't take up a lot of visual space from the kitchen, but still have backs which is nice for sitting. These are lovely, complement our mid-century modern family room, are well-constructed, solid, and are more comfortable to sit on than we expected. We are very pleased with this purchase.
