Customer comments about Anders Twin Bed:
Interesting to read I am not the only one who noticed a terrible squeaking! Bed is indeed splendid looking and yet to hear what is the permanent solution to end this annoying squeaking sound...

Customer comments about Anders King Bed:
While I am happy with the product overall, I was disappointed to see the bed on clearance within a week or two of my receipt. The clearance terms stated that the new price did not apply to previous purchases. Other major retailers alway honor sales and clearances especially within 30 days of delivery.

Customer comments about Anders Queen Bed:
I purchased this bed late 2009 after looking at many styles and finally found one that I loved and could fit in my small bedroom. The king size bed fit perfectly and it looked great. After about a year and a half it started having major issues with squeaking and just not feeling very stable. I tried adjusting the bolts with the change of seasons thinking that was the problem and that didn't help. Now I am stuck with a bed that looks great but is very noisy and does not feel sturdy. Even the slightest movement will make the bed shake and squeak. The bed itself is very good looking. The oiled walnut is really gorgeous and doesn't need much maintenance. I own other pieces that I've had for over 12 years from Room and Board and never had any issues except for this bed.

Customer comments about Anders King Bed:
This is a beautiful well designed bed. If I had one complaint, it would be that for me, sits too high from the ground. If I were designing this bed, I would make it about 4 to 6 inches shorter in order to accommodate the thicker mattresses of today. I just prefer the sleek look of a lower bed, for a more spacious and modern feel. Other than that, a great bed!

Customer comments about Anders Queen Bed:
The bed frame squeaks with the slightest movement - it seems to be coming from where the side frames meet the headboard.

Customer comments about Anders Queen Bed:
I have had this bed for over 4 years now, after alot of research, I chose this for the small footprint of the bed [I had to fit it into a very small Manhattan apartment] and for the height from the floor [again, under-the-bed storage issues that are necessary in NYC]. The first generation of this bed had many issues with construction and strength as other reviewers have mentioned. My first order of this bed actually partially collapsed comically many times, and then fully collapsed beyond repair after about 2 years. I called R&B just to complain and then to my surprise and delight, they replaced it free of charge with a new improved version and for the past 2+ years it has been completely sturdy and wonderful. I would definitely recommend this as a keeper.

Customer comments about Anders Queen Bed:
We have had this bed 3 years now and after many, many frustrating nights I have decided to write a review. The bed is well made and sturdy but there is a gap between the mattress and the headboard and pillows tend to get stuffed down between the mattress and the headboard. If you like to sit up in bed, you will need to get an ugly "husband" pillow to block the gap so your pillow (s) do not slide out the back. This has been so much of an issue that we are moving the bed to our guest room. To bad a king is a tad big for that rom but we don't have a lot of other options. Or, I suppose we could get a 22 inch mattress as ours is 18 deep.

Customer comments about Anders Queen Bed:
We bought a king bed in cherry, and couldn't be happier with the way it looks in our bedroom. Unfortunately, it doesn't perform quite as well as it looks.
In the "what-the-heck-were-they-thinking" category, there is only a tiny 1"x4" to support the entire center of the king-size mattress. Even with nobody on the bed, this support visibly bows under the weight of the mattress alone.
If I haven't said it already... just what the heck were they thinking?!?
Anyway, the problem was easy enough to fix by building a fifth leg to support the center of the bed, but of course I shouldn't have to do that myself. And in a perfect world, I'd also like to see some cross-bracing between the head/foot boards and side rails, just to make the whole bed a little more solid...
Maybe the smaller sizes are okay right out of the box, but be prepared to do some of your own carpentry work on the king-size to bring it up to snuff.
Overall, though, it's a beautiful bed and we're very happy with it.

Customer comments about Anders King Bed:
This king bed is great for a small room because it has a pretty small foot print compared to most. Love the walnut color, finish, and clean lines. Had for a couple of months with no problems yet!

I bought this bed for my new place in NY and it is indeed a piece of art...sturdy, but not bulky, it does not squeak and it is very easy to care for. Service and delivery were also superb...a great overall shopping experience.

- Anders Queen Bed
Q:
My mattress is 60x79" which frame size would work best? is the FULL too narrow?Asked on 4/25/2013 by NestMaker from San Francisco, CA1 answer
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
A:
Your mattress is a queen size mattress - 60x80" is the standard dimension for a queen size mattress.
So any queen size bed will work for you. There might be some space around the mattress but typically you want that to accomodate bed linens.
Great question, thanks.Answered on 4/26/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board

Q:
Can you tell me the max height for mattress on the anders bed?Asked on 4/24/2013 by Pony fan from Hockessin, de1 answer
DESIGN ASSOCIATE
A:
No max height is required. There is approximately 20" of space before top of headboard would be reached by the mattress. Hope this helps.Answered on 4/24/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board
