My late grandmother once told me to always splurge in the things you use most often because it is an investment to yourself. Consequently, she owned the finest bed linens, exceptionally comfy night gowns and slippers, and the most elegant yet handsome coffee mugs I've ever seen.

When I was in the market for a new sofa, I remembered her words. I wanted a contemporary-looking sofa that was extremely comfortable, durable and affordable. The Metro sofa with the angled chaise fit this bill. Not only is this sofa exceptionally attractive with its clean lines and pliable upholstered fabric, but the angled chaise allows me to curl up in a ball and I feel like a little squirrel nestled into a log. Five years later, it is still the best furniture investment I've made purely for the simple fact that it is so indisputably comfortable.

I'm thankful my grandmother, a woman of discerning taste when it came to quality and style, taught me this wonderful rule. When I rest on my sofa wearing my cozy slippers sipping from my grandmother's beautiful coffee mugs, I often think of her.
