I use this feather bed everyday on top of the ultra plush mattress, and it's a fabulous combination. The feather bed holds its shape very well and only needs a little minor fluffing every other day or so to restore its loftiness. What's great about it is that it gives you a traditional mattress feel, yet also acts as a shock absorber: when my partner does his REM cycle twitching, I don't wake up! Tell that to your pillowtop! I'm a big down fan, so I also use feather pillows and a down comforter - I really feel like a bird crawling into a nest when I go to bed. Ahhhh, doesn't get much cozier than that.

Great investment, have a queen bed and wished we would have boughten a king size as when two people lay on it it doesn't go to the full edge of the bed.

I am a graduate student and didn't have a lot of money to invest in a a really high quality mattress so I bought this feather bed to soften things up and make sleeping easier on my back, which I injured in a bicycle accident.
Wow! What a difference the feather mattress made! It changed my life. It will change yours too. I'm serious. It's like sleeping on a cloud. I recommend fluffing the feather bed once a week for optimal enjoyment, but I've also been lazy and not done it for two weeks and I still sleep well.
