This is a terrific lamp -- it's beautifully designed and flexible, gives great quality of light, and I actually love the way the cord flows off the lamp (unlike some other reviewers). I bought one for my work office, and seeing that it is the perfect way to create a focused work environment, I just brought another for reading on the sofa in my apartment living room. I will probably find other places that it will be the best solution. Strongly recommend.

I love this lamp. The design is beautiful and the functionality is perfect. From a distance, it gives a nice extra light to the room. Sitting next to it, it is perfect for reading. Despite its cost, I would buy it again. (I may get a second.)

Bought this for use as a chairside reading lamp. Two issues led me to return it:
- The power cord connection/design is flawed - with the cord connection at the top of the floor stand leaving much of the cord dangling down the side of the lamp rather than routed through the base
- The quality of the light is terrible - so bright white it is almost blue - it turned our warm off-white wall paint green - my wife compared it to examination lighting one would find alongside a dentist chair - this was not clear when evaluating the lamp at Room & Board

We came to check out sofas, but when I saw this lamp, I had to have it. Like nothing else I'd seen and a great accent light, both for general lighting or reading. It adjusts up/down/sideways in 3 places with ease and can be used in many different positions. Fun to turn on and the design is really unique---we get compliments all the time.

What's bad: This is a desk lamp mounted on a standard (vertical pole). So the cord drapes loosely from the top of the lamp. Instantly, I wanted to return it. This was unattractive, unsightly, unsafe. Eventually I decided to buy some black wire ties and afix the cord to the top and bottom of the standard (vertical pole). Now it looks neat, symetrical, and is affixed snugly to the standard top and bottom, and won't become tangled up with people,(esp. children) or animals.
The Good: Now it works for us. The light is great for reading and accenting a room. Maneuverability is acceptable. And the look is definitely post-modern.

I purchased the small link lamp- it is an excellent product.

The build quality is fantastic, the base is surprisingly solid and heavy. The light output comes in two intensities and is perfect for task lighting.

The lamp kit comes with a small tool to adjust the tension of the lamp arm. The default tension works well, but over time you have have to re-tension.

The only draw back is the power cord. I wish the power connection could be integrated to the base, or the product would include a sleeved cable to match the lamp finish in lieu of the clear plastic.

Otherwise, this is an excellent product overall.
