I listen to the radio at least 4 hours a day, AM talk, and FM music. The Tivoli Model 1 gets excellent reception, and due to the analog tuner, it can be perfectly adjusted. The sound is excellent and clear. The radio also sounds excellent when hooked up to a CD player. If you are serious about your radio listening, you need to have a Tivoli Model One.

The item was not backordered yet it took about three months to receive it. This was not the fault of R&B who were extremely helpful and followed up several times. Tivoli offered no explanation for the delay. I gave them a deadline and said I'd cancel my order if I didn't receive a ship date by a certain day. On that very day we received notice that it shipped, which was odd. Otherwise no complaints.

I wanted a radio for my new kitchen without a clock on it since all the appliances have clocks. The sound is great and I love that it is dial not digital so you can get perfect tuning.

I have had the little travel Tivoli radio for quite some time in my kitchen and love the quality of it so thought I'd add another for the main living area. It's amazing how good the sound is for such a small unit. (I also own one of the more expensive competitors on the market which has great sound too but takes up a lot more room and isn't as good looking.) The Model One is a quality product with classic clean styling and I far prefer the "knobs" and dial tuner to buttons and digital readouts. The antenna on the Model One unit does not appear to be as sensitive as the rabbit-ear type antenna on the portable unit I own, so placement within the house may change, but otherwise it has great sound and looks exceptional.

I have two of these radios and cannot figure out why the wood is less expensive than the colors? They should both be priced at [$]. I have a walnut one and a white one but they are really the same radio, style everything except the price. Bafffling.

I love this little radio! My dog actually listens to it more than I do since I leave it on a classical music channel for her while I'm at work. But when I do listen to it for myself, it's great!

There was unfortunately a bit of static where I first had it placed, but that quickly went away when I moved it across the kitchen. Not sure what the difference really is, but now I can echo the other reviewers' comments about the reception being great. I also love the design, of course.

Something that I either didn't know or fully understand before buying the radio was that the bottom indicator light is a reflection of how well the station is coming in. The brighter the light, the better the reception! It's a great feature.

Well worth the money!

I waited for years to find a small radio with great sound. When you offered it in an online catalogue, I was thrilled. It has room size sound and brings in
a strong signal from far away stations while other radios I have tried always had faint or wandering signals. The design fits in with my mix of antiques and contemporary furniture. I especially like that I can get great sound without having the radio be the central decor item in the room.

Delivery was amazingly prompt. Even during the holiday season the item
arrived in a matter of only a few days. It arrived in perfect condition and
only needed to be unwrapped and plugged in.
