I bought these stools in cherry for a modern house we have and I have loved them. When we repainted our Brooklyn brownstone traditional kitchen I got them in walnut and they are just as stunning and comfortable for my family of four!

I bought two, and am keeping them because they seem solid, generally fit my decor and I can't be bothered to return them. But they are too short (1-2 inches shorter than my former counter stool), less comfortable and overpriced. They look like they are about $100-$150 less than what I paid for them.

I was drawn to these stools because of the very limited space I have around the kitchen island where I do much of my entertaining. I wondered if they would be comfortable; I was convinced they were right for me aesthetically. Many guests have complimented them for the comfort factor despite their having no back support, my main worry. The workmanship is excellent. I frequently sit in one rather than using my office for telephone tasks, preferring the cosiness of the kitchen environment.

The counter stool is the perfect height to enjoy breakfast or coffee at our kitchen counter. Seat is contoured nicely and very comfortable. Given that this is an expensive, hand-made stool I was pleased that the manufacturer took care in the wood selection - i.e. no visible sapwood. Since the finish is traditional oil & wax they can easily be refinished if damaged or scuffed. With proper care I believe these stools will last for many years.

These stools are beautiful. The cherry is a lovely natural cherry which blends perfectly with the cherry on my kitchen island. There are lightweight which makes them easy to move and yet very sturdy to sit in. They tuck nicely under the island and are perfect for a spot where they is not a lot of clearance behind the island. Couldn't be happier. I shopped a while for them and while they were not the least expensive, they were also not the most expensive but definitely had the most advantages among the 6 or so I was considering.

We just redid our kitchen and have a counter around the island. These fit in perfectly. Very nice looking and are quite comfortable. One of the posters complained about the angle of the seat, but if they were any different, you wouldn't be able to sit comfortably at a counter. I think that they look very similar to counter stools that [@] has for at least double the price! Great value.

This is very attractive, but the seat tips forward on top. It should be level! If you've got a wedge shape, you need to make it flat on top, not on the bottom.

We were looking for a bar stool to go in our newly remodeled kitchen. We installed a small custom walnut bar top and needed something that didn't take up much floor space. The flat front of the stools make it perfect to slide under the bar, beautiful wood, light weight but seems sturdy, just got them,we will see how they hold up.
