Customer comments about Collins Bar Stool:

I use this at my stand up desk for times when I want to sit down! It is sturdy. The cushion is firm and comfortable. The foot bar is at just the right height for my feet. And it tucks nicely under my desk when not in use. It is exactly what I was looking for and I would recommend it.

Customer comments about Collins Counter Stool:

It took me 8 months to commit to bar stools. I just couldn't find the right height or style. I liked the collins stools because they fit my body. They are the exact right height for me and the steel footrest allows you to sit on it and rest your foot without dangling legs (which I find terribly uncomfortable).
There is only one concern that I have with the stools: the shape of the legs sort of encourages people to rock on the chair. No one would actually do this, but I did find myself leaning forward when I used this stool for extra seating at the dining table. Each time I leaned forward, more of my weight was distributed on the front of the stool, which caused the stool to tip ever-so-slightly. No problem sitting, but later that night I realized that every time that stool tilted, the hard plastic feet on the rails made a tiny little moon shape on my hardwood floors. I knew to expect a problem and purposely made sure I got the stool so no one else would tilt. I didn't even know I was tilting. I've since bought some felt sliders for rails and it's fine now. So beware if you have hardwood floors. otherwise, you're safe.

Customer comments about Collins Bar Stool:

The stool is a nice, clean design and well constructed. However, because of the curve at the bottom of the frame, when you are getting up onto the stool it tips forward and could, conceivably, fall completely forward. We have to grab on to the edge of the kitchen counter to avoid falling forward and off to the floor. Someone suggested to us that we add "stops" to the bottom of the frame to counteract the tipping motion. We will keep the stools but have to be careful when getting on them. Would recommend with caveat.

Customer comments about Collins Counter Stool:

These are really comfortable, good looking stools. I had a set of three for my kitchen counter (stainless steel with brown leather tops). I added three for the walls around my pool table in my basement (graphite with white tops) for people to perch on while they are waiting for their turn. I am very happy with these stools.

Customer comments about Collins Counter Stool:

We have two of these stools that we use at our kitchen counter for working on the computer as well as eating, doing homework, or just hanging out. The stools are solid, look good, and match my forged iron light fixture nicely. They blend well with the tile and cabinetry in the kitchen. They are small enough to tuck under my counter (which is a semi-circle with 12" extension at the largest point). The microfiber stays clean and is easy to get any Golden Retriever fur off of it. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is I think they are a bit expensive for how simple they are. I am willing to pay a bit more, though, since they are made in the US and they were the best fit for my space and decor that I could find.

        Service and delivery comments:

The delivery was prompt and there were no problems. The stools arrived in good condition, well protected with plastic wrap.

Customer comments about Collins Counter Stool:

I was thrilled to find these after 3 years of looking at both new and vintage options. We purchased 2 with the graphite base and doria pepper fabric; we're using them in our kitchen. Subtle design fits into the space without making a big statement (we already have statement pieces in the room, and didn't need more). And the style is versatile -- not too traditional, not too mod. I even like the fabric. I'm starting to feel like a hack here, but seriously, can you beat the price of these?!
