Customer comments about Portica Queen Canopy Bed:
First off, I love this bed more than any other piece of furniture that I own. It beautiful and almost perfectly constructed. It goes with a lot of different styled night stands but I did want one that matched exactly. I can customize a regular portica end table to accomplish this or even the c-table but they both have no shelves or storage. This is kind of important for a nightstand. I have had this bed for a little over a year and I am still searching or the perfect end table that's not wood( like advertised in catalogue with the bed). Also, despite one another reviewer said this bed is really tall for a shorter person. I am 5'1 and have to do a small leap to get on it. When I was pregnant I actually had to use a footstool half way through my pregnancy. Last but not least my main complaint is that in the short time I have had it, the side rails, which by the way are constructed of raw steel and are visible and do not match the brushed steel, are beginning to show numerous not small rust spots. I live in Florida so perhaps it's a water in the air thing? But for almost $2000 with tax and ship I don't think it should rust. All that being said I love my bed!

Customer comments about Portica Queen Canopy Bed:
Great looking bed but when they delivered it wasn't high enough! I have fairly high ceilings (nothing too abnormal though!) and the bed looked totally out of proportion and far too short relative to the ceiling height. VERY disappointed as I love the style. Moved it to my guest house where the ceilings are lower but it still looked wrong and too short. Boo hoo!

Love the look of this canopy bed. It's perfect except for non-existent headboard. My pillow sometimes falls through the opening where a headboard should be.

Customer comments about Portica King Canopy Bed:
We bought this bed for our master in the King size. It is the perfect bed for our space. I love that it will fit in with most styles of living, even when we move. It is sturdy, great quality, and cleans with a duster. Just make sure you have standard door sizes and no tight corners, because the end pieces are quite large. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

Customer comments about Portica King Canopy Bed:
Amazing perfect bed, among the most loved and commented-on pieces of furniture in our house.
The only "issue" I could find is that the sides do not look as the rest of the bed. They are made of steel and have a different color. Things might have changed in the meantime, but I personally was pretty disappointed as it was not mentioned anywhere (it said 100% SS). If you plan on tucking your cover neatly under the mattress, it will show. This "issues" is just FYI, I would but the same bed in a heartbeat.
Overall, great!

Customer comments about Portica King Canopy Bed:
Fabulous looking bed with extremely solid feel. The only downside is that you can't really lean against the "headboard" to read. If you have the head of the bed against a wall, however, you can rectify that with a sufficient number of well-placed pillows.

Customer comments about Portica King Canopy Bed:
After 50 years of marriage, we've found the perfect bed! It's more than a bed,it's a sculpture....drawing favorable reviews from all that see it. The stainlesssteel is easy to clean and the bed high enough so that there's no room for dust bunnies to hide. A damp cloth wipes down all parts, and prepares the bed for clean sheets and a perfect night's sleep. The bed is easy to make, and tuckingin the sheets gives the the bed a contemporary look.Do we love it......You bet......and so two of our three kids who each have one.If I win the prize, the third child will also have one!And the service is unreal.....delivery, set up, and clean up are all done veryprofessionally.

Customer comments about Portica King Canopy Bed:
This bed is in my master bedroom. My sister came over for a visit and loved it, and secretly copied me and got the same bed. It works with any aesthetic. I'm a little more modern in my taste than my sister, but the bed is amazing in both of our bedrooms.
I can't think of any major cons to this bed. There aren't any. It's gorgeous and sturdy, and I intend on having it for many years.

- Portica Queen Canopy Bed
Q:
Hello,
What are the difference between the Portica canopy and the Architecture Canopy? Trying to decide which one to purchase in the Stainless steel finish sized king.
Thank you,
PattyAsked on 5/18/2013 by Patty from Philadelphia1 answer

A:
The Portica is the collection we offer in stainless steel. In addition, the steel tubing is just a bit thinner profile than that of the steel on the Architecture bed which is available in natural steel only. King size, of course, is available for both.Answered on 5/18/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board
