Customer comments about Bower Loft Twin Bed with Twin Platform on Casters:
This review is for the full size platform on casters- which I am using as a primary bed in a NYC studio apartment. I chose this bed because of its clean, simple, modern design and its low profile. I was looking for a bed that would take up very little visual space and it does just that! I'm very pleased with this purchase! Solidly constructed in one piece (frame and slats), the platform is exactly the same dimensions as a full size mattress - so the piece is as compact as possible. The powdered steel (I chose white) is attractive and the bed has transformed the look of my apartment. Modern and floaty! One thing to take note of - while the casters lock, the bed does still shift a little. I had some reservations about purchasing this bed because it is marketed as part of a bunk bed for children. But really, if you're looking for a great simple full size bed, look no further. This piece is great for adults! After taxes and delivery, I paid [$]. I searched the internet high and low, but could not find anything even remotely comparable to this piece. It is unique and well worth the price. I can't recommend this bed highly enough!

Customer comments about Bower Loft Twin Bed with Twin Platform on Casters:
I am shocked that Room & Board would solicit my comments on a bed that was undeliverable. My husband and I and our 5 year old son waited patiently for this beautiful bed for EIGHT WEEKS! My son slept on a mattress on the floor in anticipation. On delivery day the bed was NOT DELIVERABLE! The guys could not get it in the room. The solid steel construction while sturdy was completely impractical. What makes it the most infuriating is that not only were we not warned that you' needed an unusual and specific clearance to get this bed into the room - the delivery guys said "This happens all the time with this bed" and "most times we end up taking them back." They did take it back but since we bought the bed in a "custom" color we were charged 10% for the privledge of this experience.

Customer comments about Bower Loft Twin Bed with Twin Platform on Casters:
We purchased this in color with a guard rail and trundle as well and couldn't be happier with the purchase. There were a few moments during delivery that we thought we'd have to send it back due to size (despite measuring and rechecking measurements) but the guys delivering the beds worked it out and now we have the perfect new bed for our little boy! He loved choosing his own colors for the beds and was super excited to see that they were just what he wanted.

Customer comments about Bower Loft Twin Bed with Twin Platform on Casters:
The delivery guys set it up for us, so we didn't have to - we bought the railing for it, which needed to be attached, but for the frame itself, nothing else needs to be done. We didn't buy the bottom platform w/ casters bc we just put our mattress directly on the floor. HOWEVER, I now realize why they offer the caster platform option! The bed is so low (which is why I bought it for our toddlers), that there's not much breathing room for the bed directly under the loft - so you need to be able to slide it in and out. I assumed our toddlers would just push it around and scratch the walls and loft bed, though, so I opted out. Anyway, it's super sturdy - I can get on it and help my toddler fall asleep, without feeling like it is going to fall apart - and easy to clean. Definitely get a low profile mattress for it, though.

Customer comments about Bower Full Platform with Casters:
The rollers on it are good and bad. even when locked the bed tends to move on hardwood floor. But making the bed is easy since we have one side on the wall we can just roll it out for easy access

Q:
do I need to order a ladder for the bower bed with a trendel bed underneath?
Also, do you have a sample of the red you can send me?Asked on 4/24/2013 by mary anne from USA1 answer

A:
The Bower is designed with a built-in ladder at the ends of the loft. It only takes a couple of rungs since the Bower is only 31h.
We do offer samples of all the finishes. It is a free, quality printed card and can be ordered directly from the site. Search swatches, look for the tab called materials and at the bottom of the page you will see the red finish. Thanks!Answered on 4/24/2013 by Design Associate from Room & Board
