Customer comments about Bacall Chair:
This chair has unbelievable lines! One of the most comfortable leather chairs available. It offers structure without sacrificing comfort...really! I would like to have a room full of these. Pair with the ottoman and you can read/nap/watch tv for hours.

Customer comments about Bacall Chair:
This chair looked and felt great in the store; however, I have owned it for a few months now and I am not as impressed as I thought I would be. Overall, it's not very comfortable, either in the seat or in the chair's arms.
The chair design and leather causes me to sit "back" (i.e. slouch) in the chair, which is fine and what I had wanted/expected with a leather chair, except that the seat itself is too short, and I feel like I'm falling off the front edge, or smashing the front end of the cushion. I often pull the cushion forward, out of the chair, both for comfort and to retain shape in the leather.
The other major problem I have is that the chair dimensions seem odd, and the chair arms seem both too wide and too high - when I sit "back" in the chair, I have to put my arms up on the arm rests, but because they're so high it cuts off circulation in my arms regularly which is incredibly uncomfortable, especially when I fall asleep in the chair and wake up. For a primary chair, this becomes a big problem very quickly. The other option is to keep my arms in to my sides - however, the width doesn't allow this as the arms taper into the back, and I feel like a mummy with my arms in, and also worry about my body pushing out on the furniture and putting unnecessary stress on the wood.
I also bought the ottoman, which is OK, but feels somewhat delicate. I had hoped to be able to sit directly on this, but the first time I did so I heard a creaking sound, which really surprised me. The leather also seems to lose shape quickly when I sit directly on it.
These issues could have more to do with my body type than with the chair (about 5'7", average weight - i.e., relatively short), so I'm not necessarily saying this chair has problems - it just isn't right for me so far.
Service and delivery comments:
The ottoman took several months to deliver because the leather was on back-order, even though it's the stock leather model. When I first raised concerns with this, the service rep was relatively rude, and gave me the impression that they felt they were doing me a favor by selling me the chair. However, the second person I worked with was great, and had offered to reduce the price if the chair was extended beyond the initial delay (they had suggested it would have a second several month's delay, but it ended up arriving after the first delay).
The delivery itself was great. I had purchased a lot of furniture from Room & Board within a couple of months (bed, nightstand, media console, chair & ottoman, bookshelves), and while they didn't reduce the shipping on two separate orders (which I didn't ask for), the delivery service was excellent, and the furniture was treated well.
