The lamp is on a table on one side of the couch. It has a great design, looks sleek and modern, and fits with our decor. We use it mostly for reading, but it doesn't really give off enough light, so we usually also use another lamp (on the other side of the couch) with it. Sometimes also add a ceiling light. The lamp is sufficient for doing things like looking at the TV remote control.

Such a cool lamp! The counter balanced arms lend this iconic design an 1980's kinetic desk accessory quality. Its dual brightness settings and articulating parts make it ideal for use as either a desk lamp or a bedside table/ reading lamp; I use it for the latter.
I find that the Tizio lamp looks its most stylish in a cozy but modern interior, rather than a super-sleek interior, where it will just fade into the background.
